Sihanoukville: Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced on Wednesday to the people of Preah Sihanouk province who lack fresh water for fish farming or irrigation can go to get filtered water at three wastewater treatment sites in Sihanoukville, free of charge.

Cambodia’s premier has inspected two completed wastewater disposal systems in Sihanoukville to be inaugurated on 2 December.

PM Hun Sen has addressed the people who need water to irrigate crops or raise fish, they are welcome to get filtered water from three locations which produces about 30,000 cubic meters of water per day. He has also confirmed that the wastewater treatment system in Sihanoukville is also the latest technology from Israel, which kills germs with a laser system before dropping it into the sea. The prime minister has added that in coastal and other riverside provinces, it is also necessary to have a wastewater treatment system like Sihanoukville to ensure a good environment.

The Royal Government's efforts to build infrastructure, on both roads and wastewater treatment systems, are for the current generation and the future generation as well. After the filtration system, people who wish to come visit and bathe in Sihanoukville will no longer have the risk of having itchy skin.
